Animal whisperings intoxicate the night
Hypnotize the desperate, slow motion light
Wash away into the rain, blood, milk and sky
Hollow moons illuminate and beauty never dies

The original version of this video is incredibly powerful. Set to layered imagery and well-crafted voiceover, this is the kind of Star Wars story everyone wants to see. I wanted to try setting it to music for a few reasons: it has visual themes that both imitate and contradict with Star Wars canon, it’s a relatively obscure franchise, and there is no spoken dialogue to work around. The ending of the song and the video both have a sustained ending that is usually one of my pet peeves: the mindless fade out. I’ve always held the obnoxious opinion that if you can write a beginning then you can write an ending. In this case, the fade-out is intended to build anticipation and leave the viewers with questions.

The tragic fall of Shurima was nothing compared to the tragedy of its rise from the grave.

This was my very first mashterpiece, which has been a hobby* of mine for the past few years. At the time, I was just immersed in League of Legends because we were traveling around with Strawburry17 for our series Unlocked. It wasn’t until after I completed this video that I realized this could become a regular thing. I definitely didn’t expect it to grow into a full-blown obsession.

I’ve been slowly working on this Dream Theater project for several years. It takes one track from each album and blends them together into a single album. If you’ve never really heard of Dream Theater, then this is the best way I know how to introduce you. And if you’re already a fan, then this should sufficiently melt your face.
