People may wonder why the events of the past day are so important. I mean, really, most of us will never have to deal with gay marriage or abortion. But I’ve had two very close friends insult me, attack me, and then unfriend me over superficial disagreements. So, don’t tell me public discourse isn’t broken in this country, and don’t even try to make me part of the problem. We are all part of the solution. We just have to learn to be humble and decent enough to do the right thing by everyone.
